These huggie earrings have been designed by HBW Boutique and are made from solid sterling silver that is electroplated in rhodium for beautiful shine and anti-tarnish. They also feature a carved star design set with a AAA cubic zirconia. All of our sterling silver pieces are hypoallergenic.

Huggie Earrings Size Guide

What are huggie earrings?

Huggies are a style of little hoop earring that “hug” the earlobe. This means that they tend to sit close to the edge of the earlobe and have a smaller internal diameter than traditional hoop earrings. Huggies don’t have butterfly backs as they have a lever or hinged style closure. This means that the earring simply clicks into place and this makes huggie earrings the perfect earring for everyday comfortable wear as you can sleep in them without feeling the ear pin poking into your head behind your ear.

What do we mean by the size of a huggie earring?

The size of the huggie earring refers to the internal diameter of the huggie hoop.

What size huggie earring will be best for me?

The size of huggies that will be best will depend on the measurement between your piercing hole and the edge of your lobe, as well as your personal preference in relation to how closely you would like the earring to “hug” your lobe.

To check the fit of a huggie earring before you purchase, just do the following:

1. Measure the distance between your piercing hole and the edge of your ear with a ruler. Make sure you measure straight down and don’t squash or push on your lobe while measuring as this will make the measurement appear larger than it is. Common measurements tend to be between 5mm and 9mm. Refer to the picture below showing the correct area to measure.

2. To find your perfect huggie size, just add 1mm for a snug fit and 2mm or above for a more loose fitting look. We have noticed a 10mm internal diameter huggie earring will suit most earlobe measurements.
